shout outs

As a group, they’ve been knocked around some, have had their battles and their successes. And they are the better for it, like a wine reaching its prime. Andrew Jackson and Rick Cuevas are back together and it’s almost as though they never parted – except that each seems to have brought a new energy and wisdom to their combined effort.

These guys just amaze me; just when you think they've made their best CD they come out with something that blows your mind.

- wineau

You just keep getting better and better, which is hard to do considering you were already incredible 20+ years ago. Thanks for making music.

Andy's vocals are tight as an anaconda in a death grip.

zru vogue in the 1980's

Musically, most early Zru Vogue songs let Rick’s bass step forward and take a lead role, while Andrew’s thin, clean-sounding guitar focused on the rhythm. The few guitar leads were usually e-bowed, often with a harmonizer adding an electronic fourth to evoke a haunting, mid-eastern feeling. They used real drums and drum machines equally, transitioning to a more electronic sound as the 80’s progressed.
